Testimonials

On 11/30/2025 Ron Husted had this to say:
Pam was craving eggs, potatoes, and bacon for breakfast this morning, and I’m usually up for anything. So, we hopped into the new Santa Cruz and headed to the Newton Made-Rite for breakfast. They serve only breakfast entrees, from 6:00 AM to Noon every day, after that it turns back into a Made-Rite. Each time we’ve been there, it’s been an amazing experience. The pancakes are huge, fluffy, and have this delightful honey sweetness that I’ve never tasted anywhere else. The eggs are always perfect, and then there are those large, tender, and juicy sausage links—nothing beats them, especially with a drizzle of maple syrup. I’m not usually a big sausage fan, but I’d make a trip to this restaurant which fortunately for us located right here in Newton, just for and order of sausage, and I’d do it without hesitation because their food is that good. I especially appreciate the consistently excellent food and their friendly and helpful servers. I’m giving them a big two thumbs up, actually a four thumbs up! Apologies for the poor photos; We both were so excited that we just dove right in the moment the plates hit the table, with photos being an afterthought. For breakfast this is the best destination I and Pam have found to date anywhere.

This place is a real gem. True Americana cuisine. The history, the ambience and the uniqueness of this establishment made my meal very memorable. Newton is lucky to have this restaurant in their town.
